Privacy Architecture

We do not track you because the OS fundamentally lacks the infrastructure to do so.

Data Collection

CalendarOS collects zero telemetry data. There are no crash reports sent to centralized servers, no analytics engines running in the background, and no unique advertising identifiers.

Local Encryption

All schedule, contact, and note data is encrypted at rest using AES-256. The encryption key never leaves the secure enclave of the hardware. If you lose your device and do not have a physical backup, your data is gone.

Third-Party Access

Because there is no App Store, there are no third parties to sell your data to. The APIs exposed for CalendarOS synchronization (CalDAV/CardDAV) are standardized and point only to the servers you explicitly configure (e.g., your own Nextcloud instance or an enterprise Exchange server).
