The Grid Interface

Spatial memory fails when apps constantly rearrange to demand attention. Temporal mapping is intrinsic to human experience.

The Spatial Problem

Smartphones organize information spatially—grids of icons, folders, widgets. But because software is infinitely malleable, the space is always contested. Badges appear, algorithms surface new content, and the "home" screen becomes a hostile environment.

The Temporal Solution

CalendarOS abandons the spatial grid for a temporal one. The interface is simply a vertical timeline of the current day. You scroll forward into the future or backward into the past. There is nowhere else to go.

If you need to take a note, you don't open a Notes app. You attach a note to the current Time Block. The information is fundamentally indexed by *when* it happened, not *where* it was stored.
