Presence indicators (the green dot showing you are online) enforce a culture of immediate reactivity. They punish deep work by equating immediate response with diligence. CalendarOS explicitly blocks presence telemetry. You are never "online"—you simply process batches of data at intervals of your choosing.

Writing Over Talking

Asynchronous communication forces clarity. When you know someone will not read your message for four hours, you cannot send a half-baked thought requiring six follow-up texts. You must write a complete, self-contained memo. This creates organizational friction that results in higher-quality thought.
